The Sustainable Social Development Organization, supported by the Commonwealth Foundation, recently spearheaded the Punjab Youth Summit on Climate Change at Lahore College for Women University. The summit was joined by Clara Strandhoj, Consul General of the British High Commission, who emphasized the pressing need to reduce carbon emissions and urgently address climate change challenges.
This event witnessed engagement from various stakeholders, including parliamentarians such as MPA Uzma Kardar, MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt, and MPA Sara Ahmed, alongside dynamic students from Women University Multan, LCWU, Punjab University, and Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi.
The summit featured a competitive platform where students showcased their innovative solutions through videos, art, and blogs. Encouraging their creativity and commitment, cash prizes of 20,000 were awarded to winners in each category, fostering a culture of environmental awareness and activism among the youth.
